Machine Learning is a new way of explaining our wants to computers and getting better answers. To get the computer to do something for us in traditional computing, we had to explicitly instruct computers what to do when something happens, whereas Machine Learning allows us to ask questions to computers without explicitly defining the answer ahead of time, allowing us to get answers we did not know or couldn’t have known without applying Machine Learning technology.

Machine Learning research versus application

It is important to understand there are two sides to Machine Learning: research and applied. The problem area for most businesses is that they don’t know where to start with Machine Learning. The research side is about building algorithms, it’s akin to building an automobile. The applied Machine Learning side is like using the automobile to get where you want to go.

Just because you know how to build an automobile, doesn’t make you a great driver nor does it make you a better driver.

How you can leverage Machine Learning today

At Triocto, we’re the chauffeur in our automobile metaphor. You don’t need a license, you don’t need to know how to drive, how the vehicle works or even which vehicle to use; you just need to hire us and tell us where to go.

We’ll fill the car up with gas (research and gather the data), we’ll choose the right vehicle for the job, (pick the right Machine Learning algorithm), we’ll navigate (classify and label well structured data) and we’ll drive (ask the right questions, get the right insights and gainfully apply those insights) to get you where you want to go.

We’re not going to reinvent the automobile! There are data farms of algorithms out there developed by research teams, readily available for us to use. The most difficult part of gainfully applying Machine Learning for better business marketing results, is determining what data is required in order for the computer to successfully answer our questions. Then, it’s a matter of researching, gathering and finally structuring the data in such a way it can be used for a given algorithm.

You’re a click away from taking a ride to business growth using the latest competitive advantage technology offers the business marketing field.
