About Ken

Father, geek, drone pilot, sous vide & grill cook guy, indoor herb & spice gardener! I build web interfaces that focus on great web experiences for people of all devices.

Triocto Developer

I’ve been building websites since the late 1990’s. I thoroughly enjoy building the web… I like to do things the right way and I’m often guilty of being too much of a perfectionist when it comes to the quality of website and its underlying code.

My Skills

I’ve been building websites since 1999 when I was using Microsoft Frontpage (shh, never speak of it again). Then it was dreamweaver with my then best buddy FireFTP and a variety of Open Source software technologies.

  • HTML
  • CSS
  • JavaScript
  • PHP
  • JAVA
  • Polymer
  • React
  • Angular

I’m capable of writing a custom CMS, utilizing existing ones and or writing plugins to extend them but anymore I’m intrigued with simple text coding. There is something sublime about hand coding your page.

Education

Computer Science 2008-2011

At age 32 I went back to college to study computer science. I studied the Java programming language, logic and many other topics which have proven beneficial in my every day dealings with code and the web.

1999-2001

Internet Auction Specialist, I started an assisted listing program and trained others to perform the duties of listing, representing, brokering and selling classic cars for private sellers all across the world. eBay purchased Kruse International and wanted to sell classic and collector cars on eBay. As the top marketer and salesman at Kruse I decided to try the basic blocking and tackling fundamentals of selling at the live auction with this new Intertnet medium and phenonemum. In the first two weeks I sold two hundred and fifty thousand dollars of mid-year Corvettes and I was addicted!

Started pulling weeds for Kruse at twelve (12) years old during the summer time. Left Kruse fourteen years (14) later as an Indiana Licensed Auctioneer. I performed every function in the auction business from grunt work to marketing work to office work during the auction to working the ring, working with sellers and finally as an auctioneer.
